Our Quality Service

At Pete Randles we pride ourselves on offering an array of quality services. Using our swaging machines and custom polishing setup we are able to shape tubing from as small as 0.5 milimetre up to 10mm. This also includes an array of different diameters and lengths.

Swaging

With access to a number of our own rotary swaging machines we are able to swage an array of different sized tubing to suit customer needs. This includes pointing, bull nosing, tapering or a mixture. All using our specilised dies which can be made to suit most needs.     

Grinding & Polishing Or Chamfering

We are able to take most swaged tubes and remove the inperfections and burr that swaging can leave behind on the tubing due to the cold forming process. Using our bonded wheels operating at high rpm allows us to shape and smooth the tube. This also allows for chamfering if required. Partnerned with our polishing mops running at the same speed allows the swaged tube to be polished to a mirror shine. All these processes can be done in stages or omitted all together depending on specifications.      

Pointing, Bullnosing & Tapering

Our most common operations are either pointing, bullnosing or tapering. Pointing - Our machines allow us to point tubing with a variety of angles shapes and lengths. Common are conical points or pencil points Bullnose - A bullnose is the closing of a tube with a rounded end. The end can either be flat or lengthed depending on shape required. Tapering - Tapering is the reduction of tube diameter. This can be done either outside or inside diameter and a variety of lengths.     

Tube Supply, Machining & More..

Our company has built up and array of different suppliers and relationships with other companies. This allows up to supply tubing if needed with our work. We also have access to turned part machining equipment and are able to work with engineering diagrams if parts are required to be manufactured.
